Klimaschutz ist leider sehr abstrakt und trotzdem bedrohlich. Den persönlichen CO₂-Fußabdruck zu verringern ist nicht einfach und erscheint aufgrund der Größe des Problems nutzlos. Ich war lange sehr frustriert und habe nicht gewusst, was ich tun soll.
Dann bin ich auf dieses tolle Buch gestoßen — „Hoch die Hände, Klimawende" — das den CO₂-Handabdruck als Aktivwerden ins Spiel bringt. Das hat mir sehr geholfen.

Seither unterstütze ich CLAW (ClimateLaw.at). Die Organisation nutzt den sehr großen Hebel der Klimaklagen, damit der Staat und naheliegende Organisationen klimaschädliche Aktionen unterlassen. Ich spende selbst und arbeite ehrenamtlich hier — weil dieser Hebel größer ist als alles, was ich alleine tun könnte.

Climate protection is unfortunately very abstract and yet genuinely threatening. Reducing one's personal CO₂ footprint is not easy and often feels futile given the magnitude of the problem. For a long time, I was frustrated and unsure of what to do.
Then I came across this excellent book — "Hands up for Climate Action" — which introduced the concept of a CO₂ handprint as a way to take active collective action. It changed my perspective entirely.
"Not the personal footprint, but the collective handprint. What we do together has real impact."
Since then, I've been supporting CLAW (ClimateLaw.at). The organisation uses the powerful lever of climate litigation to ensure governments and related organisations refrain from climate-damaging actions. I donate personally and volunteer my time — because this lever is larger than anything I could achieve alone.
